Interpersonal and Communication Skills that result in effective information exchange and teaming with patients, their families, and other health professionals.

Before Graduation, the Fellowship requires its fellows to demonstrate proficiency in:

Communicating with patients and families across a variety of socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds;
​

Communicating with physicians and other health professionals;
​

Effectively working as a member of a health care team or other professional group;
​

Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and timely medical records;
​

Communicating sensitive issues or unexpected outcomes, including diagnostic findings, end-of-life issues and death, and medical errors;
